Outlook Will Soon Highlight Your Most Important Emails
How much time do you spend every day digging through emails, trying to figure out which ones actually need your attention?
If you’re like most business owners, the answer is probably: too much.
Customer questions, supplier updates, internal messages, and the occasional junk email can quickly turn your inbox into a time-consuming headache. And when an important email gets overlooked, it can lead to delays, confusion, or even missed opportunities.
Microsoft’s new AI-powered solution
The good news is that Microsoft is stepping in to help.
Soon, Outlook for iOS and Android will include a new AI-powered feature called Priority view. This tool uses Microsoft’s Copilot AI to automatically sort your inbox into two categories:
-
High Priority – the emails that really matter.
-
Needs Replies – the ones waiting for your response.
That means when you open Outlook on your phone, the most important messages will be front and center.
Why this matters for your business
We’ve all had that moment where a critical email gets buried under newsletters or long threads of internal updates. Priority view is designed to stop that from happening.
For business owners, it means less wasted time scrolling and more focus on what matters. For employees, it reduces the stress of keeping up with a busy inbox, helping ensure nothing essential slips through the cracks.
When will it be available?
This feature won’t appear overnight. Microsoft is rolling it out gradually, and it may take until late 2025 before it’s available to everyone.
There’s one more catch—it’s only available to businesses using Microsoft 365 with a Copilot license. Copilot is a paid add-on, so you’ll need that subscription to access Priority view.
The bigger picture
While Priority view is just one feature, it shows how AI can make everyday tasks like email management easier and more efficient.
If you’re already exploring AI tools to help your business work smarter, this is one to watch closely. And if you’re curious about how Copilot in Outlook, Teams, or other Microsoft tools could benefit your business, we’d be happy to help you figure out the best approach.
