PowerPoint Removed Reuse Slides

What’s changed

Microsoft has retired PowerPoint’s Reuse Slides feature. It used to let you browse another deck inside PowerPoint, pull in specific slides, and choose whether to keep the original formatting—perfect for staying on-brand and saving time.

What to do instead

You can still reuse slides with a couple of quick alternatives:

  • Open both decks and drag-and-drop slides across (usually keeps most formatting and media but expect the occasional small tweak).
  • Use View > New Window to work on a new version while keeping the original deck untouched.
